Through a detailed brand questionnaire, I identified key insights that shaped the direction:
Ideal clients: construction firms, architects, developers, contractors, and property managers
Core values: Creativity, Excellence, Transparency
Brand personality: Warm, Savvy, Smart, Playful, Tinkerer, Thoughtful
The existing site was sparse and didn’t communicate their dual expertise or creative approach. My strategic goal was to build a site that felt credible, modern, and distinctively “Motus.”
I reviewed leading firms including Sense Engineering, RDH, RJC, WSP, and Entuitive. Best practices included concise value propositions, strong project visuals, trust-driven storytelling, and clear service architecture.
Present across competitors—but missing from Motus—were:
A nuanced brand story
Personality and approachability
A structured way to communicate specialized work
The website strategy focused on:
Demonstrating expertise quickly and clearly
Highlighting Motus’s creativity and big-picture thinking
Structuring services in ways clients can easily understand
Showcasing project stories through a flexible CMS
Supporting recruitment through intentional messaging
